Students returned to in-person instruction in the fall of 2021, but due to the continued infection rate and new Delta and Omicron variants of the virus, some revised guidelines are now in place regarding symptoms, illness, and exposure. An extensive application was submitted to the California Department of Education (CDE) in order to be designated a Model Continuation High School.

El Puente High School students can now take Advanced Placement courses, take AP exams, and take the SAT and PSAT exams.
EPHS and Firebaugh Adult School are both accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools/Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS/WASC). This accreditation is a significant milestone in the history of these two diploma-granting institutions. El Puente High School received its full 6-year accreditation in June, 2021. Firebaugh-Las Deltas Adult School will receive its WASC review team in November, 2021, for its 6-year re-accreditation.
